Clinically stable patients with Alzheimer's disease diagnosed by a specialist.
When am I not eligible for treatment?
TPS treatment with the NEUROLITH® is not permitted in the event of:
- Coagulation disorders (haemophilia)
- Thrombosis
- Tumour in the treatment area
- Cortisone therapy up to 6 weeks before the first application
- Metal objects in the head
- Pacemakers not authorised for TPS therapy

How long does the treatment last?
The pulse application time is approximately 30 minutes. An entire session is therefore usually scheduled to last 45 minutes.
What patient documentation is required for TPS treatment?
A recent MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scan on a data carrier (CD or USB stick).
Why are follow-up treatments recommended?
Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive disease. Based on clinical experience, follow-up treatment is therefore recommended every 4–6 weeks.
How should I prepare for treatment?
There are no special actions required to prepare for treatment. Having your own towel may be helpful for removing the gel and drying your hair after treatment. Shaving your hair is not necessary.
Do the health insurance companies cover the costs?
Treatment with TPS is not currently covered by the statutory health insurance companies.
Are existing therapy procedures restricted by TPS?
TPS is a concomitant procedure. Standard therapies can be continued in a completely normal way. There are no known adverse interactions.
